Shared Memories is a long term collaboration with Black Country Touring, Akademi & Theatre Writing Partnership to create a performance piece that brings together a collection of stories told, written and performed by people from diverse cultural backgrounds in London, Leicester and The Black Country, drawing on their early memories.

Initial readings were presented in February 2012 at Leicester Curve with new work by Sayan Kent and Marilyn Ricci based on the early memories of people who attended workshops at Eyres Monsell Community Centre, Somali Development Service and Belgrave Neighbourhood Centre.

Many thanks to everyone who has taken part in the project so far and to: Jawaahir Daahir, Cllr. Virginia Cleaver, Asha Nathwani, Eyres Monsell Community
Association, Curve.

A larger scale ambitious presentation will eventually take place in the three cities simultaneously with audiences and performers linked via live web cast.
