February 2012 and ongoing
Shared Memories
A collaboration with Black Country Touring, Akademi & Theatre Writing Partnership

A collection of stories told, written and performed by people from diverse cultural backgrounds in London, Leicester and The Black Country, drawing on their early memories.

Readings of the latest work will be staged as a promenade performance as part of Talkback 2012 and Kali's 21st Birthday celebration.

Initial readings were presented on 2 February at Leicester Curve with new work by Sayan Kent and Marilyn Ricci based on the early memories of people who attended workshops at Eyres Monsell Community Centre, Somali Development Service and Belgrave Neighbourhood Centre.

Many thanks to everyone who has taken part in the project so far and to: Jawaahir Daahir, Cllr. Virginia Cleaver, Asha Nathwani, Eyres Monsell Community
Association, Curve.

The main presentation will take place in Spring 2013. This ambitious presentation will take place in the three cities simultaneously with audiences and performers linked via live web cast.
