A young couple who sought refuge in Birmingham just a few miles away return home to face the fault lines of prejudice and cultural division. A Thin Red Line explores the divisions in the cultural and social landscape of the Black Country.
Sonali Bhattacharyya, a writer from the Midlands, drew inspiration for this provocative play from a series of workshops with various Black Country community groups during the 60th anniversary year of the partition.
A Thin Red Line was a co-production with Birmingham Repertory Theatre and Black Country Touring.
