Artist Hussina Raja brings her immersive living room installation to the Albany for its next iteration. Part performance, part gathering space, this evolving work-in-progress celebrates female resilience, strength and collective power.
In collaboration with local women, STATION explores the identities we navigate and the transformations we experience. Set within a domestic interior, audiences are invited into a space charged with stories of endurance, connection and self-discovery.
STATION will have a research and development week at The Albany with a public work-in-progress performance in October and be part of the KALISTHENICS season in Spring 2027.

Fran Lobo is a British Indian singer, composer, and music producer. Her work spans composition, installation, performance and film. Her composition involves a playful and experimental approach to sound, often using audio collage and vocal layering to create hypnotically unsettling and intricate sound worlds
Vidya Patel is a UK-based dance artist and choreographer who creates and directs multidisciplinary performances, merging Indian classical dance, contemporary dance, and lived movement experience with text, visual arts, fashion and film. She explores identity, heritage and autobiographical narratives

Shaped around the idea of a radio tuning between different "stations in life" – childhood, adolescence, pregnancy, motherhood, and the experience of being mothered – STATION is developed in collaboration with local women, and combines text, live sound score, movement and installation to create an intimate domestic environment.
Part performance, part gathering space, this evolving work-in-progress celebrates female resilience, strength and collective power. Developed in close collaboration with choreographer Vidiya Patel and composer and sound-designer Fran Lobo.
