Black-I

by Sharon Raizada

19 October – 6 November 2010
London

Black-I centres on the relationship between Naz, a Bengali Londer from a low income background, and Rose, a classic English Rose with expensive taste. They meet on a rooftop in Mayfair where Naz is fixing a satellite dish and Rose is escaping her rich stepdad’s party. Their disparate lives collide as they try to help each other out of their troubles.

As the sun rises over London, clothes are shed and the truth exposed. Knife-crime, the pressures of youth and love on the edge are explored in this compelling, unconventional romance at the dark heart of London.
