Mushtaq is anxious to remain in London to provide for his family back home, but his student visa is about to expire. He works two back-to-back jobs and saves enough to give money to his mother, Laila who runs a successful business arranging convenient marriages. But as her crafty schemes escalate, Mushtaq's hopes for a perfect life with a perfect wife are dashed by the reality of greed.

Paper Thin examines the intricacies of immigration and the extent to which one man is willing to go to achieve his goals.
