7 - 19 May 2018
Tristan Bates Theatre, London

WAR Plays presents seven staged readings of compelling new plays inspired by women’s experiences of conflict in Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Iraq, Tibet, Bangladesh and occupied France. Written by women, the plays offer contemporary, thought-provoking stories of courage, hope and determination in the face of war, suspicion and displacement.

The festival was developed to mark the 70th anniversary of the signing of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights after the Second World War and features the photographs of award-winning photojournalist Kate Holt.
