February 2026
Theatre In The Mill, University of Bradford

Discovery is a biennial programme from Kali Theatre that supports emerging playwrights to write and develop a short play. Through a series of workshops, dramaturgical guidance and mentoring, each writer creates an original 20-minute script, which was shared in the showcase. Discovery has previously run in Leeds, Birmingham, Leicester, Oldham and London, and we’re excited to be bringing this work to Bradford.

The 2025 Discovery programme featured work by Shazia Bibi, Samara Daniels, Nabeela Ahmed and Lois Vohra. Each play was directed by Sameena Hussain with dramaturgy by Atiha Sen Gupta
